Cybersecurity Scholarships

As cyber crime and hacking increases so does the demand for cybersecurity professionals who are able to detect, analyze, and respond rapidly to threats to make sure information and data stays out of the wrong hands. Cybersecurity professionals can be found across many industries and at varying levels. From basic IT skills to advanced levels, cybersecurity specialists ensure the safety of computer networks and systems.

To meet the demands of this popular 21st-century field, college and universities are offering cybersecurity college scholarships and cybersecurity majors. Schools that don't offer specific cybersecurity majors may offer a similar degree path that can lead to a career in cybersecurity, including computer science, information science, information assurance and security, computer forensics, computer engineering and computer programming. Obtaining a four-degree in any of these or related fields can help qualify you for a career in cybersecurity. Becoming certified as a cybersecurity specialist can also increase your career opportunities and earning potential; some employers may require it.

There are organizations that offer cybersecurity scholarships to students pursuing a career in this important and in demand field, so if you are looking to land additional funding for college, be sure to check out these cybersecurity scholarships.
